Thanks for stopping by, I have something really special for you today – a discussion about wealth!
“There’s a profound difference between interest and commitment.
Interest reads a book; commitment applies the book 50 times.”
― M.J. DeMarco
I have just finished reading The Millionaire Fastlane by MJ DeMarco and I am ready to ditch my old limiting beliefs. This post is my call to action, my speed of implementation!
This time around, I am creating my strategic plan along the way. I have certainly become accustomed to making huge and elaborate plans before starting however I like the idea of Intentional Iteration.
I find it very fascinating that I have read the Richest Man in Babylon by George S. Clason 4 times and the knowledge has served me very well however I prefer The Millionaire Fastlane as my financial and lifestyle go-to resource now.
Without further delay, I’ll share these 3 ultra-valuable ideas with you beginning with:
Idea #1 – Intentional Iteration
DeMarco presents a strategy of learning and repeating by force or intention.
Wealth (as well as any great job performed) is a result of acutely orchestrated and executed process.
When you perform an action, learn from it, and improve from there (continuing to learn from your previous lessons and building on the sum of knowledge) you have the ability to grow in wisdom and action very quickly.
Wisdom and action is a perfect cocktail to supply your wealth however you should also understand and apply the concept below which is:
Idea #2 – Responsibility vs Accountability
Its empowering to be responsible but to truly be successful you have to have a system of accountability.
Keeping a log or journal of your activity, using productivity apps or spreadsheets, and having a strong accountability partner are some of the elements to implement to ensure you follow through with your commitments.
But remember talk is cheap and the name of the game is the last idea which is:
Idea #3 – Actions Speak Louder Than Words
Look at me – I can write. I can teach. But this knowledge is practically meaningless until we actually do something about it!
You may have arrived at the realization that the ideas presented in this post are not extremely original or cutting edge, but the way you apply them can make all the difference in the short and long run!
I have been incredibly enlightened by this book and in conclusion, I would like to nudge you towards reading your book of choice or picking up your copy of The Millionaire Fastlane today.
The world is full of possibilities and its up to us to discover our fullest potential! I say – continue on your journey and have a productive day!
